Schalke 04 can plan again with Danny Latza and Thomas Ouwejan
Schalke 04 received positive news on the personnel front before the game against 1. FC Nürnberg (Saturday, December 10, 2022, 1:30 p.m.). Danny Latza and Thomas Ouwejan returned to team training on Thursday after overcoming their respective injuries.
Latza and Ouwejan increase Schalke's options
Latza had been sidelined since October with a thigh problem, while Ouwejan had been out since mid-November with a muscle injury. The return of the duo gives Schalke head coach Thomas Reis more options for the upcoming games.
Bachmann still out
However, Schalke will still be without goalkeeper Martin Fraisl against Nuremberg. Fraisl is still struggling with a shoulder injury, meaning Alexander Schwolow will continue to deputize in goal.
