Juice launch to Jupiter on April 14

ESA Web TV to broadcast launch live

Mission has eight-year flight time with flybys

The Juice mission is set to launch on April 14 with an Ariane 5 rocket. The launch will be broadcast live on ESA Web TV and YouTube starting at 13:45 CEST (11:45 GMT).

Juice will travel to Jupiter, arriving in 2031 after a flyby of Mars and two flybys of Earth. The spacecraft will spend three years in orbit around Jupiter, studying the planet's atmosphere, magnetosphere, interior and moons.

The Juice mission is one of the most ambitious and complex ever undertaken by ESA. It will provide scientists with new insights into the formation and evolution of Jupiter and its moons, and help us to better understand the origins of our solar system.
